The Dewalt Belt Sander have more power, improved sturdiness, and a unique three-roller design that provides better balance and finish.

Belt speed on the DW433 ranges from eight hundred and fifty to 1,400 surface-feet-per-minute ( sfpm ) for all sorts of material removal. The DW432 is a single-speed unit that runs at 1,400 sfpm.

This permits the manufacturer to move the motor down between the rollers and directly over the platen. The three-roller design significantly improves balance and provides the lowest possible center of gravity on a 3'x 21' sander. The unique design also creates space for longest 3'x 21' platen in the bizz, along with a patented automated tracking flange on the top front roller. The extra-long platen is machined for smoothness and maximizes belt-to-material contact, while the tracking flange keeps the belt focused over the platen during sanding. Dewalt Belt Sander has a durable, all-metal housing adds about enough weight to help the tool do the work without the user having to push down across the application. It also defends the Dewalt Belt Sander from damage during random drops on a shop floor.

for more durability and improved dust collection, DEWALT uses a patented'break-away' dust bag that withstands impact if the sander is accidentally dropped. As an accessory, a vacuum adapter ( DW4050 ) that connects the dust chute to a 1-1/4' hose is available separately.

For convenience, the twine is found on top of the sander to avoid accidental damage from the moving belt. A rubber-gripped rear handle and removable two-position ergonomic front handle make the sander more at ease to hold and better to control.
