Understanding the early signs of Alzheimer's is important to uncover treatment options. Alzheimer's is the leading form of dementia. It was first identified in 1906 by Dr. Alois Alzheimer. He discovered abnormalities in the brain of a woman who had shown a significant decline in brain function before she died. When he studied her brain, he found what are now called amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles.
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease that will eventually lead to death. It is currently the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. Alzheimer's begins by destroying brain cells which leads to memory problems and behavioral changes that impact all aspects of life. There is currently no cure for Alzheimer's disease.
There are many warning signs of Alzheimer's. One of the first early signs of Alzheimer's is memory loss. It starts by affecting the parts of the brain that control recent memory. A person can also experience problems completing tasks that they do on a regular basis. For example, they may cook dinner, but forget to eat it. They may lose items or put them in odd places. A person can also experience changes in mood (rapid mood swings) or personality (becoming confused or fearful). Another common warning sign is experiencing problems with language such as forgetting words used on a regular basis or using words in odd ways. A person may also experience periods of poor judgment or they may have moments of disorientation when they don't know where they are or what time it is.
If you or someone you love is experiencing any of the above symptoms, it is worth a visit to your primary-care doctor. You may be experiencing other conditions such as depression that are causing similar early signs of Alzheimer's or you could be showing early signs of dementia disease. Either way, it is good to know what you are working with so that you can treat it accordingly. Some things like depression can be treated, while Alzheimer's will progress. Medical science is advancing and has some medications that have shown effectiveness in slowing the progression of Alzheimer's disease. Work with your doctor to find what is right for you.
If you are interested in learning more information and want to prevent the early signs of Alzheimer's, there is a new product out on the market that is designed to help with your memory. The name is Focus Fast and to find out more visit their webpage

The Cut $12.99 Exclusively available in this e-book edition of The Cut : a bonus work of short fiction by George Pelecanos entitled Chosen that focuses on Spero Lucas's early life and family. Spero Lucas has a new line of work. Since he returned home after serving in Iraq, he has been doing special investigations for a defense attorney. He's good at it, and he has carved out a niche: recovering stolen property, no questions asked. His cut is forty percent. A high-profile crime boss who has heard of Lucas's specialty hires him to find out who has been stealing from his operation. It's the biggest job Lucas has ever been offered, and he quickly gets a sense of what's going on. But before he can close in on what's been taken, he tangles with a world of men whose amorality and violence leave him reeling. Is any cut worth your family, your lover, your life? Spero Lucas is George Pelecanos's greatest creation, a young man making his place in the world one battle and one mission at a time. The first in a new series of thrillers featuring Spero Lucas, The Cut is the latest confirmation of why George Pelecanos is "perhaps America's greatest living crime writer." (Stephen King) |

SocioEconomic Correlate of Early Childbearing $95.59 Shorttitle The study investigated teenage childbearing patterns with a view to examine consequences of teenage childbearing in Southwest Nigeria.Employing 0.3 as the prevalence rate of early childbearing from Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey 2003 and 10 sample size adjustment factor for nonresponse rate, 355 women aged 1549 years were selected and interviewed through a systematic random sampling technique.
