If you're looking for information on how to install electric wire, then you've come to the right place. Not because I'm going to teach you how to work with dangerous electrical equipment, but rather because I'm going to talk you out of trying to do something so foolish. Instead, I'd like to help you develop a healthier respect for electricity. There are several different types of wire that you should be aware of. Each is made for certain conditions, whether it's to be placed underground or in the vicinity of extremely hot temperatures. There are many different sizes, each designed to be able to carry a certain amount of amperage (or amp, for short). Huge buildings will usually have huge gauge, while common household things do not.

In order for electricity to make it to the outlet receptacles, wire needs to be pulled throughout the walls of whatever structure you're in. Pulling wire is not easy, especially when you're dealing with much heavier sizes. This is how lighting is possible. The lights are wire all the way back to the panel and the magic of electricity occurs. So many people take this for granted, but it's really an amazing thing.

So instead of trying to install wire yourself, even if you think you can, get a professional electrician to take care of it. They know to make sure there is a ground when necessary, and they know to never complete the circuit, as doing so would be extremely dangerous.
