Scales are generally for measuring the object weight whether it is heavy object or a light weight objects. You can find the balancing levels in almost all the industries. Bagging scales:

Counting scales:

As the name indicates this scale is for counting small objects. Industries which produces small objects like coins, screws, nut bolts etc becomes difficult by hand counting. So a counting level is very useful for these industries. But how does a counting scale helps in counting the objects? Simple, first weigh a piece of object which is divided by the total amount of weight. This gives you an accurate amount of pieces you have on hand.

Bench scales:

These are other wise known as platform scales. These are used by the commercial outlet and by home makers. The best feature of this level is that they protect the load cell when excess weight is places on the scale. Another merit of the balancing level is they have a shock absorbing spring which protects the scale if anything is dropped on it.

Indicators:

An indicators help in reading the weight of the object from the scale. These are seen in both digital and

non-digital scales. If you have indicator on your level then it give the exact weight of the object.

Drum fillers:

These are used for measuring weight of chemicals. The chemicals which are filled in drums are too heavy to lift, so these scales are made out of steel and are fit in the ground. They are fire proof and can weigh more than 1000lbs at one time.

No one in Northern Ireland needs reminding of many of the events in the province during the bloodiest years of the troubles. In 1971, the then Home Secretary for Northern Ireland, Reginald Maudling said he could foresee a time when IRA violence could be reduced to an acceptable level. People werent quite sure what he meant. We know now of course and have lived with an acceptable level of violence for more than twenty years. Alex Ashe has chosen to tell the story of this acceptable level of violence through the events of that fateful afternoon when a bomb ripped apart the Abercorn Inn in March 1972. Ashe has created a series of well rounded characters, who inhabit the distinctive world of the 70s, with its newfangled decimalisation, chic suede fringed waistcoats, bus tokens, platformed heels and blue eyeshadow. Other hallmarks of that era tarring and feathering, for example, crop up again and again, bringing a first hand feel to this compelling novel. It is these small details which help make the larger events ring true and Ashe trawls right through the horror of the 70s, sparing us nothing; a thumbnail description of a night out at the La Mon hotel; Lennie Murphys psychopathic leasure pursuits; the Loyalist strike that closed down the Province entirely.
