With Nip tuck seasons 1-5 tv series on DVD getting released, quite a lot of viewers who missed out on the series earlier have a chance to view the twisted and bizarre series all over again. The show is quite sexually explicit and guarantees adults a fun viewing experience. The show manages to delve deep into family problems, sexual and gender issues and also on different types of personality crises problems. It manages to intertwine the stories and the characters in an effective way, managing to draw in viewers deeper into the stories of the characters.

However, because of its realistic and explicit story line many find it a little too much to handle. The series is a drama, with many interesting characters. The story is based in the plastic surgery office of a surgeon named Sean McNamara, played by Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon who plays the part of Christian Troy.

These two surgeons try to transform peoples' bodies to the way they want.

There are a number of other characters on the show like Matt, played by John Hensley who is Dr. McNamara's son. Matt is a high school student who tries to get a hold on his sexual identity. The doctor's wife is a housewife who tries to reinvent herself through the series. Grace Santiago, played by Valerie Cruz is the psychologist and Liz, played by Roma Maffia is the main nurse.

There is a continuing story line in the series which keeps things interesting. There are different patients with some bizarre problems and some interesting characters that come now and then for interesting cameos to keep the show alive. The first season itself is quite interesting with 13 episodes. There is a twisted appeal and a sexual tenacity to the whole show which manages to keep the viewers coming back for the next episode. The story also allows the viewers to get a look on the insides of the world of plastic surgery and an idea of how and what patients coming for plastic surgery real feel. The language, the effects and story all manage to work together to complete the picture.

Viewers should note that blood is quite common on the show along with some sexually explicit images so it is meant for adults. Nip Tuck seasons 1-5 manage to entertain adults who are looking for something a little different than their average soap opera. The show is intriguing in a twisted way but nevertheless very entertaining.
