The Firehawk GT w/UNI-T is Firestone's High Performance All-Season tire designed for sporty performance sedans and coupes. The Firehawk GT is designed to permit motorists to sense the freedom of the road by joining long treadwear and responsive handling with reliable traction on dry and wet roads, plus light snow.

Firestone's UNI-T Technology targets on three primary tire components, the beads, casing and tread, which in turn influence overall performance by increasing comfort, handling and traction. On the outside, the Firehawk GT conforms a long wearing, high-silica tread compound into an asymmetric tread layout which includes large outside shoulder blocks to boost steering response and cornering balance. Inside shoulder blocks feature additional lateral grooves and sipes to offer the additional biting edges that aid traction in foul weather. The Firehawk GT radial's continuous center ribs enhance responsiveness, in addition to wet and dry traction when accelerating or braking. The whole tread layout features Firestone's Veri-pitch sequencing of block shapes and sizes to assist reduce tread pattern sound. The Firehawk GT's construction includes twin, steel belts strengthened by spirally wrapped nylon to improve driving control and offer long, even treadwear while minimizing weight and enhancing ride quality. A polyester cord body and hard rubber sidewall reinforcements improve steering response and cornering stability.
