PEX fittings pave the way for improvised plumbing
PEX (cross linked polyethylene) is material used in constructing entities used in water supply systems. It is tested and adopted by many users as the most advanced material that is available in the market for building water supply systems and other accessories. Mostly, it finds applications in Radiant floor heating systems and PEX plumbing systems. One of the things that you would come across and use a lot when you are working with PEX is PEX fittings. The most standard way of connecting PEX pipe to brass PEX fittings is by using a copper crimp ring and a PEX crimping tool. In a typical scenario copper ring is inserted on top of the pipe, the fitting is usually inserted inside the pipe, and the copper ring is crimped over the pipe and fitting, using the PEX crimping tool. PEX tubing and fittings are seemingly easy enough to accomplish. Usually, there are two types of PEX fittings, easy (which is the crimp style) and the slide in style. The crimp style fittings come with both engineered plastic and brass, and both have rings that are separately purchased. But the Slide-on fittings also come in plastic and brass.
